The Perfect
Paint
- House looking faded and
dull?
- Got bare wood or peeling
paint?
- Tired of painters that fall short of
promises?
- Need some siding or wood trim repaired as
well?
- Don't know who to trust for a free
evaluation?
- Looking for a good value?
Renovation Pros of North Carolina, LLC offers a different kind of
painting service. We are on-time painters who give you an exact price up-front, do professional "Prep &
Paint" work, leave no mess, and ensure you are satisfied.
Virtually everyone has heard about bad painting
services – and that’s because just about anybody with a paint brush and a pickup truck can be a painting
contractor. The result is that many people hire contractors that end up leaving projects unfinished, without proper
preparation, taking far longer-than-expected to complete a project, with painters that have less-than-perfect
manners. And then there’s always the surprise bills and charges that come in higher than the
quote.
We determined that we would provide a better service.
We’re not perfect, but we try: we offer honest, high-quality services and we leave behind highly satisfied
customers. Since there wasn’t really a good source of information available, I had to make one. We call it the
"Guide to a Perfect Paint." Ask these questions of your painting contractor in advance to know whether you are
going to get a truly professional job at a fair price.
-
Define The Painting
Project. We review the exact
details of your project before we ever pick up a brush.
This takes just a few minutes of additional time up front, but saves
everyone a lot of time later.
-
Communicate Clearly, in
Writing, the Specifics of the Entire job. Some painters add $100's or more in
"extra" fees. Here is how to avoid unexpected charges: Make sure that every detail of the job is
written up-front. Look at the job description, and not just the quote they gave
you.
-
Select Perfect Tools &
Materials. A
complete project will only look perfect if the painter skillfully uses the best tools. Understanding
which brushes to use, and how to evenly spread paints on large surfaces and on corners takes a serious
investment in equipment and education.
-
Ensure The Painter Has
The Experience To Do The Job
Correctly. Our painter should have the expertise to know what colors and
technique will give you the most for your investment. Ask them to teach you about what they would
recommend so you can sure they are expert at their craft.
-
Establish A Schedule That
Works For You. Painting schedules should work around when it’s
convenient for you. Otherwise, you can have painters in your
way at some very inconvenient times.
-
Work Out A Convenient
Payment Plan. Do
not pay the full price for a job up front. Be sure to work out a payment plan that includes a down
payment and only requires payment in full once the job is
done and you are fully satisfied.
-
Prepare With Detail. Nearly half of a perfect paint job should be
spent on the preparation work: washing, sanding, vacuuming, patching, caulking, taping, laying down
tarps, ensuring proper ventilation, preparing safety ladders, and much
more.
-
Apply The Right Primer. Knowing which primer to use on the painting
surface is critical to a perfect finish. Choose the wrong primer
or if you don’t use a
primer at all, and your paint can look dull, flat, lifeless, or the paint work itself may require
more expensive coats.
-
Paint Evenly (Keep The Brush Moving) And Apply The Right Number Of
Coats. Painting is not tremendously complex, but the method you use to apply the paint (the
preparation and mixture of paint, the angle of the brush, the speed of application, the thickness of
each coat, etc) create a noticeable difference. This is especially
true with today’s washable or “eggshell” finishes.
-
Focus
On Detail Work. A professional painter will give proper
focus on Doors, Windows, Corners, And
Switches to ensure that the most noticeable and used areas look
great.
-
Clean
Up Completely. Make sure that there are no messes left
behind at the end of the job! We also clean
and organize our work area for the overnight.
-
Walk Through, Sign Off, And A Parting
Gift. Our
painting service is not complete until the job is
done right. We meet with
you when the job is done to insure you are satisfied.
Please - Don’t Settle For Less Than
Perfect.
